Classic Winnie The Pooh Baby Shower

Life has been pretty busy here around the Roberts house. We have had five showers to attend and one of them I hosted for my daughter. I was so excited to plan this shower and of course as soon as I found out how she was going to be decorating the nursery I started searching for things on Pinterest. I am addicted to that site, I found many inspiring things to try my creative hand at, and I soon got busy making and planning. Oh, and I am also supper excited to say that my daughter and her husband are expecting twin boys!

Here is what the main table and hub of the shower looked like. From beehive cake to a wicker beehive decoration. My husband trimmed our trees and I kept a few of the branches and put them in a bucket of water so that the buds would turn into small leaves by the time the shower took place. I used those branches to bring the look of 100 Aker wood inisde.

As guests arrived I had a table with scratch off beehive cards. I found a great tutorial about creating my own scratch offs on Pinterest. I will share my method in another post. I also had a sign and asked each guest to put there address on an envelope to help the busy mommy to be out with that.

My first project was to create a fun party favor and I found just the thing, Faux Honeycomb glycerin soap. I found everything that I needed at one of my favorite stores, Hobby Lobby. I found a very fitting scent of Honey Lemon, and gift wrapped them in clear bags tied with a classic Winnie the Pooh image on round card stock. I also had an old wood pallet sitting around and so thought this would make a great 100 Aker wood sign. I used a method I also found on Pinterest you can find it here

I will share some more detail of the shower in the next post. Have fun creating your own fun party!
