I made some yummy Tigger tails. I found a large container of half size pretzel rods and dipped them into Wilton candy melts, that I melted in a smaller bowl in the microwave. You can find the directions here. In my searching on pinterest I also found a cute idea for making a honey pot using a clay pot. I stained the bottom half and then bought some yellow paint and painted honey drips around the top. I used this for the eating utensils wrapped in a napkin and tied with a baby blue chevron ribbon.
I then found a great beehive cake pan on Amazon and when It arrived it even had a great recipe for the cake from scratch as well as the frosting. Then my daughter told me about a great cupcake shop in her neighborhood called Sweet Mellisas, We stopped in there and asked about making a special order of chocolate cupcakes with a bee on top. They were yummy! As were the Lemonberry cupcakes.
Then I had an area that had some cards for guests to fill out called Wishes for the babies, and they filled in the blanks. I thought this would be a nice thing for the mom to look back on. Around the house I had made and placed some fun fact cards about how the character of Winnie the Pooh came about.
I thought it would be fun for guest to drink out of little milk bottles and so went on a search for those. I ended up buying two cases of Starbucks Frappuccinos. I really can't handle coffee at all so I ended up having my husband and daughter-in-law drink them up and return the bottles to me. I think they got sick of Frappuccinos after a while. I then removed the labels and used mineral spirits to remove the sticky residue once the label was removed. I then put them all in the dishwasher.
I also found some cute baby blue chevron straws here.
I also knew there would be some little kiddos around so I found some adorable little activity books for them to stay busy with.
In another room, I created a baby onesie making area. Instead of the usual painting on them, I wanted to make iron on's. So I found that my Circuit machine would cut material. I used heat n bond in the red package and ironed it on the back side of the material and then placed that on my cutting mat. I created quite a few cute sayings and other things for guests to pick from. I also dyed a bunch of onesies, I had a few different colors for guests to pick from.
The mommy to be went home with many cute onesies for the babies.
Here are a few last details and the beautiful mommy to be.
I was so excited to find those cute little shoes with Classic Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
